My background
During many years my parents worked at higher and middle educational institutions. My grandfather by mother’s line, Kerimov E.I., was a veteran of the Great Patriotic War (World War II), served in aviation as a specialist of aerophotography. He grew up in the family of Sofu A. M., a Soviet Party statesman of Crimean Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic.
The first stories I wrote at the age of 11. In 2003 I graduated from the Kyrgyz state university of construction, transportation and architecture as an art critic.
An important part of my life is scientific activity. Now I am the author of 35 scientific and popular-scientific articles. In 2010 I finished and published my second monograph The ornament`s role in the formation of the architecture of Kyrgyzstan (genesis, evolution, national traditions). In 2012 I became a candidate of architecture (PhD) on two specialities: theory and history of architecture; and ethnography, ethnology and anthropology.
In 2006 The Social foundation of creative young people AMITY published my fairy-tales` collections The curative spring and An incident in Flowergarden. I live in Bishkek city (former Frunze), in the Kyrgyz Republic. In 2003 - 2008 I worked as a teacher at Design Department of Kyrgyz State University named after I. Arabaev. In 2008 - 2023 I was the director of Germanic Centre at Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University. Germanic Centre collaborated with an embassy of Federal Republic of Germany, German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), F. Ebert and R. Bosch Foundations. In common with departments and the other international centers, we organized round tables, scientific conferences, seminars, meetings with official representatives and guests from different countries (for example, round table «Near East countries in European fiction», which took place on February 21, 2017. Link to video) At present I work as an Associate Professor of Architecture Department at Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov. It`s great honour for me that my books are kept in chief libraries and children`s organizations of the USA, Canada, Great Britain, New Zealand, Russia, Byelorussia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. Since the end of 2008 to the present my articles, tales and stories are represented in on-line library New Literature of Kyrgyzstan (in Russian). In December, 2010, I became a prize-winner of the annual literary competition Many languages - one world. On May 30-31, 2014, I took part in the Forum of young Russian-speaking writers of Kyrgyzstan, devoted to M.Yu. Lermontov's 200th anniversary. On April 2, 2009, I participated as a children's writer at the morning program "Zamana" on KTRK with journalist Vladimir Grabovoy. On May 20 and 22, 2016, "The 5th Channel" showed the program "Vladimir Petukhov invites" with my participation. Link to video. Reserve link. On March 11, 2019, I took part in TV program "Hard day`s evening" (interviewer - Aigul Kurmanova) on the topic of "Disappearing Bishkek", on the TV channel TV1.KG. In 2015-2018 my stories and poetic fairy-tales were published in the Russian literary magazine “Bridge” (Saint Petersburg). In September, 2019, Kutaalam Publishing House brought outmy children's books "The Tiger Baby and the Hedgehog", "The Curative Spring" and "The Grasshopper and the Snail" with new colour illustrations (by artists T. Dedikova and M. Bekov).
On October 14, 2019, I participated in TV program "Hard day`s evening" on the TV channel TV1.KG (interviewer - Maxim Poletaev). I told about my three new books, which were brought out by Kutaalam Publishing House. Link to video. Reserve link.
