In this part we offer the project of a new social building created on the basis of the main façade of Ala Too hotel. Ornamental motives borrowed from the Kyrgyz decorative applied art, Manas mausoleum of the 14th c. and Shach Fazil mausoleum of the 11-12th cc. were used in architectural décor of the building (kosh muiuz,kun, gul, eight-beam stars ,many-petalled rosettes,“wave” with curls, etc.).
Three-storied Ala Too hotel, which was situated in Erkindik avenue, was built in 1960 by the project of Candidate of architecture Igor Lublinsky, a well-known Byelorussian architect. The hotel known as Tian Shan before 1966 was a complicated, but well-made architectural complex including 113 luxury and economy class rooms, hairdresser’s and restaurant on the first floor. In the 1960s – the early 1990s AlaToo hotel was one of the cultural sights of Kyrgyzstan’s capital. The building, which was included before in the list of local monuments, was pulled down in 2014 by the reason of its emergency condition.
The new social building with detailed, well-made plan can be a State institution, small elite hotel and the company’s office. The architectural project is presented in three versions.
