In this part we offer the preliminary project of the souvenirs’ pavilion, created under the influence of Pishpek’s architecture, dating back to the early 20th century. The basis of the project includes the merchant shops of S. Myrzabaev and H. Аkchurin, which were located in Bazarnaya Street (now Yu. Abdyrahmanov) of the city, and also the 19th century wooden houses of Starotatarskaya sloboda in the city of Kazan. Not extant shops of Myrzabaev and Аkchurin, the merchants of Tatar origin, were built of stone and offered a wide assortment of goods to their customers in pre-revolutionary period. The shop of Myrzabaev, opened in 1912, distinguished itself from the other trade pavilions by its original tower in the form of pyramid. In the years of the Soviet rule the Central working club was situated at the former shop. A library worked here, it was shown films and staged plays for the club’s visitors. At the same building the Kyrgyz musical dramatic studio put up its first performances «Kaigyluu Kakei» and «Karachach». The 19th century wooden architecture of Starotatarskaya sloboda was recognized a national property of Tatar people and a symbol of the city of Kazan. The houses of Mullin and Shamsutdinov, the merchants Dautovs and Shamigulin, having beautiful architectural forms and fine wooden decoration with Tatar ornament, were rebuilt in the 1990-2000s.
